Draught Proofing

Draught proofing your home

What is Draught proofing?

Draught proofing your home is one of the cheapest and most efficient ways to lower you energy bills and save money. You’ll find draughts at any gap in your home that leads outside, such as:

  • Doors including letterboxes and keyholes
  • Windows
  • Floorboards and skirting boards
  • Ceiling to wall joints
  • Pipework that leads outside
  • Loft hatches
  • Electrical fittings on walls and ceilings
  • Chimneys and fire places (be sure to remove the draught proofing if you decide to light a fire!) Fully draught proofing your home will save you approximately £55 per year
